Terms of Service
Last updated 28 October 2026
1. Who we are. Mitos is provided by Stephen Paterson ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Mitos you agree to these terms.
2. The service. Mitos is a web application for designing, documenting and, in future, deploying and monitoring networks. It runs in your browser and can be installed as an app.
3. Beta. While Mitos is in beta, features may change, break or be withdrawn, and access is by invitation. Beta access is free. We'll give notice before any paid plan applies to your account.
4. Your account. You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. Team owners are responsible for who they invite.
5. Your drawings are yours. Your designs are saved on your own device or storage, not on our servers. We don't claim any ownership of them. If you create a share link, we store a read-only copy only for as long as the link exists; you can revoke it at any time.
6. Our software and catalogue. The Mitos software, the device catalogue and associated content remain ours or our licensors'. You may use them to create designs for your own projects and your clients' projects. You may not copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer the catalogue or the software, or use them to build a competing product. Manufacturer names and product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify their products.
7. Professional responsibility. Mitos checks designs against rules and published data, but it can't know everything about a site. Designs, schedules and configurations should be reviewed by a competent professional before installation or deployment. You remain responsible for the work you deliver.
8. Acceptable use. Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break security, overload our systems, access other customers' data, or use Mitos for anything unlawful.
9. Liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
10. Ending your account. You can close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, telling you why where we can.
11. Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
